Initiating Remote Monitor by Manual Dial

Procedure:

1S to access the menu.

2Por Q to Contacts and press N to select.

3Por Q to Manual Dial and press N to select.

4If there is a previously dialed subscriber ID, the ID appears along with a blinking cursor.

Use the keypad to edit the subscriber ID. Press N to select.

OR

Use the keypad to enter a new subscriber ID. Press N to select.

5Por Q to Remote Mon. and press N to select.

6Wait for acknowledgment.

7The display shows Remote Monitor Successful.

OR

The display shows Remote Monitor Failed.

8If successful:

Once the timer expires, the radio sounds an alert tone and the green LED turns off. The display shows Remote Monitor Ended.

OR

If unsuccessful:

The radio repeats the attempt until the programmed number of tries expires.

Making a Private Call by Manual Dial

Procedure:

1S to access the menu.

2Por Q to Contacts and press N to select.The entries are alphabetically sorted.

3Por Q to Manual Dial and press N to select.

4If there is a previously dialed subscriber ID, the ID appears along with a blinking cursor.

Use the keypad to edit the subscriber ID.

OR

Use the keypad to enter a new subscriber ID.

5Press the PTT button to make the call. The green LED lights up. The first line displays the target radio’s ID. The second line displays Private Call and the Private Call icon.
