Receiving Calls

Phone Calls

When you receive a phone call, your phone rings, vibrates, or lights up its backlight.

Answering

Press s. -or-

Press O. -or-

Press A under Yes. -or-

Press any number key.

To answer a call by pressing any number key, you must have the Any Key Ans feature turned on (see “Phone Calls Features” on page 143).

Sending to Voice Mail

Press e. -or-

Press A under No.

Ending

Press e.

Direct Connect® Calls

When you receive a Direct Connect call, your phone emits a chirping sound or vibrates.

Receiving Calls

Answering

1Wait for the caller to finish speaking.

2Press and hold the PTT button on the side of your phone. Begin talking after your phone emits a chirping sound.

3Release the PTT button to listen.

Ending

Press e. -or-

Press A under Exit.

A Direct Connect call ends automatically if there is no activity on the call for a few seconds.

Choosing a Number to Call

You can choose the number you want to call in many ways:

Enter the number on the keypad.

Say a voice name into your phone. See “Using a Voice Name” on page 26.

Use Speed Dial or Turbo Dial® to make a phone call. See “Using Speed Dial and Turbo Dial®” on page 26.

Redial the last phone number called. See “Redialing the Last Number” on page 27.
