Cellular Calls in Direct TalkSM

Mode

Emergency 911 cellular calls can be made in Direct Talk mode as long as you are within a Nextel coverage area. When making an emergency 911 cellular call, your phone will automatically exit Direct Talk mode and attempt to find a signal. If you are out of Nextel's coverage area, your phone will not find a signal and the 911 call will not be placed.

Dial 911 to be connected to an emergency response center. If you are on an active Direct Talk call, you must end it before calling 911.
