Common Radio Features

Private Calls (Trunking Only)

These one-to-one calls between two radios are not heard by others in

the current talkgroup. The calling radio automatically verifies that the

receiving radio is active on the system and that it can display the

caller’s ID.

Answer a Private Call

1When a private call is

received, you hear two alert

tones, the LED blinks

Green, the call-received

symbol (m) blinks, and CALL

RECEIVD is displayed.

•Two tones

• Blinking Green LED

2Press the Call Response

button within 20 seconds.

If the caller’s name is in the

call list, it will be displayed.

If the name is not in the call

list, the caller’s ID number

is displayed.

3Press and hold the PTT

button to talk; release it to

listen.

4Press the Call Response

button again to hang up.
