Cleaning

To clean the external surfaces of your radio:

1Combine one teaspoon of mild dishwashing detergent to one gallon of water (0.5% solution).

2Apply the solution sparingly with a stiff, non-metallic, short-bristled brush, making sure excess detergent does not get entrapped near the connectors, controls or crevices. Dry the radio thoroughly with a soft, lint-free cloth.

3Clean battery contacts with a lint-free cloth to remove dirt or grease.

Do not use solvents to clean your radio. Spirits

Do not submerge the radio in the detergent solution.

Handling

Do not pound, drop, or throw the radio. Never carry the radio by the antenna.

Avoid subjecting the radio to an excess of liquids.

Avoid subjecting the radio to corrosives, solvents or spirits.

Do not disassemble the radio.

Keep the accessory-connector cover in place until ready to use the connector. Replace the cover immediately once the accessory has been disconnected.
