This chapter includes the installation instructions for the MVME956AC chassis. Instructions on the installation of replacement assemblies are in Chapter 6.

Unless otherwise instructed, perform all hardware preparation and/or installation with power disconnected. Installing or removing hardware items such as modules and cables while power is applied may damage the equipment.

Chassis Installation Instructions

The MVME956AC chassis can be configured for either rack mounting or for lab benchtop use. This section describes the steps necessary to install the optional desktop cover on the chassis for lab benchtop use or to rackmount your unit.

Benchtop Operation

The MVME956AC chassis can be placed on a standard table or desk for operation as a lab benchtop unit.
