3Double-click the Network and Dial-up Connections icon on the Control Panel window. The Network and Dial-up Connections window is displayed:

4Double-click Local Area Connection number. The value of number varies from system to system. The Local Area Connection number Status window is displayed:

5Click Properties. The Local Area Connection Properties window is displayed:

6If Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) is in the list of components, TCP/IP is installed. You can skip to step 10.
