When your phone is closed, the external display shows the time, date, status indicators and notifications for incoming calls and other events. For a list of phone status indicators, see page 31.

To set the phone ring style in the external display:

1Press a volume key to display Style: style name.

2Press the smart key repeatedly, until the style you want appears.

3Press a volume key to return to the home screen.

handsfree speaker

You can use your phone’s handsfree speaker to make calls without holding the phone to your ear.

During a call, press the Speaker key to turn the handsfree speaker on. Your phone displays Spkrphone On. Press the Speaker key again to turn off the handsfree speaker.

Note: The handsfree speaker will not work when your phone is connected to a handsfree car kit or headset.

codes & passwords

Your phone’s 4-digit unlock code is originally set to 1234. The 6-digit security code is originally set to 000000. If your service provider did not change these codes, you should change them:
