receive a text message

When you receive a message, your phone plays an alert, and the display shows New Message with a message indicator, such as É. Press the Read key to open the message.

To see all of your text messages:

Find it: s> e Messaging > Message Inbox

If a multimedia message contains media objects:

•Photos, pictures, and animations show as you read the message.

•A sound file plays when its slide shows. Use the volume keys to adjust the sound volume.

•Attached files are added to the end of the message. To open an attachment, scroll to the file indicator/filename and

press the View key (image), Play key (sound), or Open key (address book vCard, calendar vCalendar entry, or unknown file type).

You can use a removable memory card with your phone to store and retrieve multimedia objects (such as photos and sounds).

Note: If you download a copyrighted file and store it on your memory card, you can use the file only while your memory card is inserted in your phone. You cannot send, copy, or change copyrighted files.
