capitalisation

Press 0 in any text entry screen to change the text case. The following indicators show capitalisation status:

Press S left or right to move the flashing cursor to the left or right in a text message.

The first character of every sentence is capitalised.

If you enter or edit information and do not want to save the changes, press P to exit without saving.

iTAP® mode

Press # in a text entry view to switch to iTAP mode. If you don’t see j or p, press MENU > Input Setup to set iTAP mode as your Primary or Secondary text entry mode.

iTAP mode lets you enter words using one key press per letter. The iTAP software combines your key presses into common words, and predicts each word as you enter it.

For example, if you press 7, 7, 6, 3, the letter combinations that match your key presses display the word Product.

Tip: You can turn on/off the function of Word Completion by pressing M > Settings > Initial Setup > Input Mode > Word Completion

To enter numbers quickly, press and hold a number key to temporarily switch to Numeric mode. Press the number keys to enter the numbers you want. Press # to change back to iTAP mode.

Press 1 to enter punctuation or other characters.

1Press 1 ~ # to show possible letter combinations at the bottom of the display.

2Press S left or right highlight the combination you want.

3Press * to enter the highlighted combination when a word appears in the display. A space is automatically inserted after the word.
