The indicators for Numeric and Symbol entry modes are:

To set your primary and secondary text entry modes, in any text entry view, press Options > Change Text Mode and select Primary or Secondary.

iTAP® method

The iTAP software combines your key presses into common words, and predicts each word.

When you enter three or more characters in a row, your phone will guess the rest of the word. For

If you want a different word (such as Progress), continue pressing keypad keys to enter the remaining letters.
