	Idle control device malfunction?	Check or replace idle control device.

Practically most welder breakdowns can be prevented by proper handling and maintenance inspections, but in the event of a breakdown, please take a remedial action following the

diagnosis based on the Welder Troubleshooting (Table 9) information shown below . If the problem cannot be remedied, please leave the unit just as it is and consult our company's business office or service plant.

	Loose or disconnected wires?	Visually check wires, replace if necessary.
	Defective generator?	Check generator, replace if necessary.
No "ARCING"	Poor contactor contact?	Pull the lead wire and check for connection.
	Defective rectifer Re4 or Re5?	Replace rectifer.
	Defective exciter Field Assy?	Replace Field Assy.
	Defective rectifer Re1 or Re2?	Replace rectifer.
	Improper engine speed?	Adjust engine speed.
Weak "ARCHING" and low
	Improper welding cable?	Use welding cables with sufficient current capacity and length.

	Improper current control?	Readjust to 50-180 amps.
