NI 2501/2503 Operation

This chapter contains a functional overview of the NI2501/2503

module and explains the operation of each functional unit making up

the N I 2501/2503 module.

Functional Overview

The block diagrams on the following pages illustrate the key functional

components of the switch card modules. Figure 2-1 shows the NI2501 and

Figure2 -2 shows the NI 2503.

The major components of the NI 2501/2503 modules are as follows:

• Multiplexer

• Relay/FET switch control circuitry

• Random scanning

• PXIbus interface

• Triggers
