Serial

The serial T1/E1 kit includes:

QOne serial T1/E1 WAN TAP

QOne serial Y cable

QOne serial T1 WAN cable

1If you have a GigaStor Expandable, see “Connecting the GigaStor

Expandable to the expansion units” on page 52 for details about

connecting them. After connecting them, continue with step 2.

2Connect the TAP to the GigaStor using the serial T1/E1 WAN

cable.

3Using the serial Y cable, connect it to the TAP and then to your

CSU/DSU and your router.

4Use the supplied Ethernet cable to connect the network interface

card in the GigaStor to the network.

Now that you have physically connected the cables for the GigaStor,

you must now configure its software. See “Setting the GigaStor’s IP

address” on page 19.
