Vergleichbare Geräusche treten auch beim Ein- schalten der Stromversorgung auf.

Die meisten anderen Mikrophone haben keine ver- gleichbare „innere Spannungsversorgung”, so dass deren Verstärker den Aufbau bzw. das Zusammen- brechen der Polarisationsspannung nicht übertra- gen kann.

Die Funktion „–10 dB“ wird beim Mikrophon TLM 170 R nicht durch Umschaltung der Gegen- kopplung im Verstärker erreicht, wie bei Mikro- phonen der Serie fet 80®, sondern durch Verrin- gern der Kapselvorspannung. Dieser Umladevor- gang dauert einige Sekunden, während derer das Mikrophon stummgeschaltet ist.

Das Zurückschalten zum vollen Übertragungspegel kann, wie beim Einschalten des Mikrophons, mit ei- nem kurzen Rauschen verbunden sein, bedingt durch den oben beschriebenen Aufladevorgang.

2.2Ausführungsformen und Beschaltung des MikrophonausgangesDas Mikrophon kann in folgenden Ausführungsfor- men geliefert werden:

Die Zuordnung der Mikrophonanschlüsse ent- spricht DIN EN 60268-12 bzw. IEC 60268-12 (pin. conn. 130-x-IEC 02):

Die Modulationsadern liegen an Pin 2 und 3, die Abschirmung an Pin 1. Bei einem Schalldruckan- stieg vor der Mikrophonmembran tritt an Pin 2 eine positive Spannung auf.

2.3MikrophonkabelFür das TLM 170 R stehen folgende Kabel zur Ver- fügung:

Noises comparable to this can be recognized also when switching the supply on.

Most of other microphones have no similar “inter- nal power supply” so that those amplifiers cannot transmit the building up or breakdown of the polarizing voltage.

The “–10 dB” function is not realized by changing the negative feedback in the amplifier of the TLM 170 R as is done with other microphones of the fet 80® series but by diminishing of the capsule polarizing voltage. This procedure may last some seconds during which the microphone is mute.

Returning to the full transmission level the microphone can – as is the case when switching it on – be accompanied by a short noise caused by the above mentioned increase of the polarizing voltage.

2.2Microphone Versions and Output WiringThe following versions of the TLM 170 R micro- phone are available:

The modulation is connected to pins 2 and 3; the shield is connected to pin 1. A sudden increase in sound pressure in front of the microphone dia- phragm causes a positive voltage to appear at pin 2.

Zur Verwendung des Kabels IC 4 (z.B. zum Abhän- gen des Mikrophons von der Decke in Verbindung mit der Kabelabfangvorrichtung MNV 87) muss der schwenkbare Bügel mit seiner Halterung vom Mi- krophon entfernt werden. Siehe dazu Kapitel 4. Dann wird am Anschlussteil des Mikrophons ein Gewinde zur Verschraubung mit dem Kabel frei.

Das Mikrophon ist besonders unempfindlich gegen kapazitive Belastung. TIM- und Frequenzgangver- zerrungen werden daher auch bei Verwendung sehr langer Kabel nicht hervorgerufen.

In order to use the IC 4 cable (e.g. for suspending the microphone from the ceiling in combination with the MNV 87 Auditorium Hanger), the swivelable bracket including its mountings must be removed from the microphone. See chapter 4. This then exposes a thread at the connector end of the microphone which fits the screw ring of the cable.

The microphone is highly insensitive to capacitive loading. As a result, even very long cable runs do not cause either TIM or frequency distor- tion.
