MINIMUM CLEARANCES TO
COMBUSTIBLE CONSTRUCTION
NOTE: FOR GARAGE INSTALLATION
•Heater pilot and burner must be at least 18" off the floor.
•Locate heater AWAY FROM ANY MOVING VEHICLE.
•Keep appliance area clear and free from combustible materials, gasoline and other flammable vapors and liquids.
For convenience and efficiency, install heater:
∗in easy access locations
∗in coolest part of room
∗near an electrical outlet Minimum Clearances are as follows:
42” from the top of the appliance to the ceiling. 5” from the right front corner of the appliance to an
adjacent side wall, and 5” from the left side of the appliance to an adjacent side wall. 7” from the bottom of the appliance to the top surface of carpeting, tile or other combustible materials in the area described. See figure 2 below.
•The installation must conform with local codes or, in the absence of local codes, with the National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54.
Note: Front Corner of heater to an adjacent sidewall with or without CSA listed optional wooden mantel.
