Flash Compensation

Flash compensation alters flash output from the level suggested by the camera, changing the brightness of the main subject relative to the background. Choose from values between –3 EV (darker) and +1 EV (brighter) in increments of 1/3 EV; in general, positive values make the subject brighter while negative values make it darker.

AY icon is displayed when flash com- pensation is in effect. Normal flash out- put can be restored by setting flash

compensation to ±0. Flash compensation is not reset when the camera is turned off.
