Slow shutter speeds are used to capture the expanding burst of light from a firework.

•Camera focuses at infinity. When the shutter-release button is pressed halfway, the focus indicator (A 26) glows green; however, focus may not be set for near subjects, while the camera focuses at infinity.

•Camera focuses on subject in center of frame.

•Use macro mode (A 33) to focus at short ranges.

O: For those scene modes with O, use of a tripod is recommended. Set Vibration

reduction (A 105) to Off when using a tripod.
