Macro Mode

Macro mode is used for taking pictures of objects as close as 4 cm (1.5 in.). Note that the flash may be unable to light entire subject at distances of less than 30 cm (11 in.).

1 Press p(macro mode).

The macro mode menu is displayed.

2Use the rotary multi selector to choose ON and press k.

The macro mode icon (F) is displayed.

The monitor will return to the normal display for the current mode if the setting is not applied by pressing k within a few seconds.

Macro mode

Basic Photography and Playback:

3 Press g(i) or f(h) to frame the picture.

The camera can focus at a distance of 4 cm (1.5 in.) at the zoom position at which Fglows green (the zoom indicator is near K).

CMacro Mode

In macro mode, the camera automatically focuses continuously until focus and exposure are locked by pressing the shutter-release button halfway.

Auto Mode

If the macro mode is adjusted in any scene mode or movie mode, the setting reverts to the default

 

setting whenever another shooting mode is selected or the camera is turned off.
