Multiple Exposure (P, S, A, and M Modes)

Follow the steps below to record a series of two or three exposures in a single photograph. Note that at default settings, shooting will end automatically if no operations are performed for 30 s. For an interval between exposures of more than 30 s, choose 30 min for Custom Setting 28 (Auto meter-off;99) or use an optional EH-5 AC adapter.

1Selecting Multiple exposure in the shooting menu displays the menu shown at right. Highlight Number of shots and press the multi selector right.

2Press the multi selector up or down to choose the number of ex- posures that will be combined to form a single photograph. Press OK to return to the multiple exposure menu.

3Highlight Auto gain and press the multi selector to the right.

4Highlight one of the following options and press OK.

Option Description

On

Gain adjusted to correct exposure according to the number of exposures recorded (gain for each exposure is set

(default)

to / for two exposures, / for three exposures).

Off

Gain not adjusted to correct exposure. Recommended if background is dark.

Exchanging Memory Cards

Do not remove or replace the memory card while recording a multiple exposure.

Photo Info

The date of recording, metering, exposure, mode, focal length, camera orientation, and other information listed in the playback photo information display is for the first shot in the multiple exposure.
