Macro Mode

Macro mode is used for taking pictures of objects as close as 5 cm (2 in.). Note that the flash may be unable to light entire subject at distances of less than 50 cm (1 ft. 8 in.).

When using G (easy auto) mode (A 20), the macro mode button cannot be used to activate macro mode.

1 Press p (macro mode) on the multi selector.

The macro menu is displayed.

2 Press the multi selector Hor Ito select ON and press k.

The macro mode icon (F) is displayed.

If a setting is not applied by pressing k within a few seconds, the selection will be cancelled.

3 Rotate the zoom control to move to the wide zoom position.

Macro mode can be used to take a picture at the current zoom position when For the zoom indicator glows green.

The camera can focus on objects as close as about 5 cm (2 in.) at the widest zoom position, and as close as about 7 cm (2.8 in.) at the position where Gis displayed.

C Autofocus

When using macro mode, the camera focuses continuously until the shutter-release button is pressed halfway to lock the focus. A sound will be heard while the camera focuses.
