Shooting Suited for the Scene

Photograph flowers, insects and other small objects at close range.

Macro mode (A 33) will turn ON and the zoom will move to a position that allows macro shooting.

The camera can focus on objects as close as about 5 cm

(2 in.) at the widest zoom position, and as close as about 7 cm (2.8 in.) at the position where Gis displayed.

Camera focuses on subject in center of frame. Use focus lock to frame the picture on an object not in the center of the frame (A 29).

The camera focuses continuously until focus is locked by pressing the shutter-release button halfway.

Use indoors where flash photography is prohibited (for example, in museums and art galleries) or in other settings in which you do not want to use the flash.

Camera focuses on subject in center of frame.

BSS (best shot selector) can be used to shoot (A 78).

As pictures are easily affected by camera shake, hold the camera steadily.

The AF-assist illuminator (A 97) does not light.
