Skin Softening

On the smart portrait mode screen M dbutton MSkin softening

Enable skin softening.

Option	Description
S High	When the shutter is released, the camera detects one or
	more human faces (up to three), and processes the image to
R Normal (default setting)
	soften facial skin tones before saving the image. You can
Q Low	select the amount of effect that is applied.
kOff	Turns skin softening off.

The current setting can be confirmed by the indicator displayed in the monitor with shooting (A6). No indicator is displayed when Off is selected. The effects of skin softening are not visible when framing pictures for shooting. Check the degree of skin softening performed in playback mode.

Smile Timer

On the smart portrait mode screen M dbutton MSmile timer

The camera detects human faces and then automatically releases the shutter whenever a smile is detected.

Option	Description
a On (default setting)	Enables smile timer.
kOff	Turns the smile timer off.

The current smile timer setting is indicated by an icon when shooting (A6). No icon is displayed when Off is selected.
