UPS/400 NETWORK SUPPORT
Note: The sensor cable from the UPS may be connected to an AS/400 on the network. All AS/400s to be networked should be connected to the same power source. The AS/400 with the sensor cable is the “notifying system,” however any system detecting failure or restore of utility power will notify ALL systems in its Remote Systems Notification Table (i.e. System A table would contain B, C, and D; System B table would contain A, C, and D, etc.). If the “notifying system” is disabled for any reason, the power sensor cable should be reconnected to an active machine. Network capabilities of UPS/400 depend upon the existence of an AS/400 APPN defined network. Multiple power sensor cables can be used.
