BATTERIES, CHARGERS, AND ACCESSORIES

This section provides information about the phone’s batteries, accessories, and chargers. Be aware that the information in this section is subject to change as the batteries, chargers, and accessories change.

This phone is intended for use when supplied with power from the PPH-1 car kit, an ACP-7U, an ACP-8U, or an LCH-9 charger. Other usage could invalidate any approval given to this apparatus and might be dangerous.

Warning: When you purchase batteries, chargers, and accessories for your phone, use only batteries, chargers, and accessories that have received approval from the phone’s manufacturer. The use of

any other type of phone-related hardware may invalidate any approval or warranty applying to the phone, and could also be dangerous. For availability of approved batteries, chargers, and accessories, check with your dealer.

Note: For information on how to charge and recharge your battery, refer to “Charge the battery” on page 11.

When the battery is charged the battery bar stops scrolling. Battery full appears also, if the phone is on. Allow another 2 hours for a “trickle” or “maintenance” charge.

When you are not using a charger, disconnect it from the power source. Do not leave the battery connected to a charger for more than a week, since overcharging could shorten its life span. If left unused, a fully- charged battery will discharge itself over time.

Temperature extremes can affect the ability of your battery to charge.

Therefore, allow it to cool down or warm up before trying to charge it.
