Note: Use only compatible multimedia cards (MMC) with this device. Other memory cards, such as secure digital (SD) cards, do not fit in the MMC card slot and are not compatible with this device. Using an incompatible memory card may damage the memory card as well as the device, and data stored on the incompatible card may be corrupted.

Format a memory card

When a memory card is formatted, all data on the card is permanently lost.

Some memory cards are supplied preformatted, while others require formatting. Consult your retailer to find out if you must format the memory card before you can use it.

Select Options > Format mem. card > Yes to confirm. When formatting is complete, key a name for the memory card, and press OK.

To rename a memory card, select Options > Memory card name in Memory card.

Back up and restore information on a memory card

•To backup information from your game deck memory to a memory card, select Options > Backup device mem.

•To restore information from the memory card to the game deck memory, select Options > Restore from card.
