TheURC-8350 comes with a complete library of pre-programmed codes. After

youhave set up the URC-8350 for your device, you may find that there are one

ormore keys that you had on your original remote, which do not have a place

onthe URC-8350 keypad.

Asa convenience, the URC-8350 offers a special Learning feature that

allowsyou to copy any function from your original remote control onto the

keypadof the URC-8350.

Beforeyou start:

- Makesure your original remote control is working correctly.

- Makesure neither your URC-8350, nor your original remote control is

pointingat your device.

Example:To copy the “mono/stereo” function from your original TV

remoteonto the “LAST” key of your URC-8350.

1. Place both remote controls (the URC-8350 and your original) on a flat

surface.Make sure the ends which you normally point at your device

arefacing each other. Keep the remotes at a distance of 2 to 5 cm.

2. Pressand hold down REWIND + FASTFORWARD

simultaneouslyuntil the URC-8350’s LED (red light)

blinkstwice (the LED will blink once and then twice).

3. Press9 7 5 (the LED will blink twice).

4. Pressthe device key (on the URC-8350 remote) to

selectthe mode to which you want to copy the learned

function(example: TV key).

5. Pressthe key (on the URC-8350 remote) where you

wantto place the learned function (example: LAST key).

TheLED will flash rapidly.

6. Pressand hold the key (on your original remote) that

youwant to copy until the LED on the URC-8350 blinks

twice(example: “mono/stereo” key).

7. Ifyou want to copy other functions within the same mode, simply repeat

steps5 and 6 pressing the next key you want to copy by learning. If you want

tocopy other functions to a different mode, then repeat from step 4

onwardsand press the applicable mode key.

8. Toexit the learning mode, press and hold OK until the

LEDblinks twice.

9. Learningis mode specific. To access your learned function, press

theappropriate device key first.

- TheURC-8350 can learn approximately 25 - 40 functions (depending on the

functionto be learned). Memory full will be indicated by two long blinks.

- Youcan replace a learned function by placing another learned function on

top.

- Uponchanging the batteries, your learned functions will be retained.

The Learning Feature
