Auto Mode
Macro Mode
Macro mode is used for taking pictures of objects as close as 1cm (0.4 in.). Note
that the flash may be unable to light entire subject at distances of less than 50cm
(1ft. 8 in.).
Macro mode cannot be used with easy auto mode (A20).
1Press p (macro mode).
The macro menu is displayed.
2Use the multi selector to choose ON and press
k.
The macro mode icon (F) is displayed.
If a setting is not applied by pressing k within a few
seconds, the selection will be cancelled.
3Use the zoom control and frame the picture.
The camera can focus at distances as close as 1 cm
(0.4in.) from the lens when F and the zoom indicator
glow green (zoom indicator is positioned near K).
Macro mode
CMacro Mode
In macro mode, the camera focuses continuously, even when the shutter-release button is not
pressed halfway to lock focus. When the shutter-release button is halfway pressed, the focus is
locked to adjust the exposure.
CThe Macro Mode Setting
When the shooting mode is A (auto) mode (A29) or high sensitivity mode (A50), the macro
mode setting will be stored even if the camera is turned off.
