1.Power adaptor

GETTING STARTED

The product should be powered by the AC/DC adaptor. Plug the adaptor into socket. Make sure it is not obstructed and is easily accessible to the unit.

To completely disconnect from power, the adaptor should be disconnected from the main unit.

NOTE The main unit and adaptor should not be exposed to wet conditions. No objects filled with liquid, such as vases, should be placed on the main unit and adaptor.

Battery serves only as memory backup.

1.Remove the battery compartment cover.

2.Insert the battery, matching the polarities.

NOTE Batteries should not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine or fire.

CLOCK

CLOCK RECEPTION

This product is designed to synchronize its clock automatically with a clock signal.

RRM612P:

EU: DCF-77 signal: within 1500 km (932 miles) of Frankfurt, Germany.

RRM612PU:

UK: MSF-60 signal: within 1500 km (932 miles) of Anthorn, England.

RRM612PA:

WWVB-60 signal: within 3200 km (2000 miles) of Fort Collins, Colorado.

To enable / disable clock signal reception:

Switch RCC CLOCK ON/OFF slide switch to ON to enable or OFF to disable clock signal reception.

When clock signal reception is enabled (RCC CLOCK ON/OFF slide switch is ON), reception will occur regularly at 01:00, 02:00 and 03:00, or 3 minutes after every reset of unit. During reception, display will be temporarily off and

only a flashing will be shown. Display will resume after the reception, or upon pressing of any key, display will be temporarily on for 10 seconds.

NOTE

Reception takes 2-10 minutes. If the signal is weak, reception will end and time display will resume. Place your unit next to a window for stronger reception.

During reception, pressing any button or turning on the radio will stop the reception temporarily. Reception will resume if no more button is pressed after 10 seconds or the radio is turned off.

If the radio is playing during reception time, reception will not occur.

MANUALLY SET CLOCK

1.Press and hold CLOCK.

2.Press UP/TUNE + or DOWN/TUNE - to increase or decrease values.

3.Press CLOCK to confirm.

4.The settings order is: time zone, 12/24 hr format, hour and minute.

RRM612P / RRM612PU: Time zone sets the clock +/- 23 hours from the received clock signal time. If you have disabled the clock signal reception, do not set a value for time zone.

RRM612PA: Select the time zone: (0) Pacific, (+1) Mountain, (+2) Central or (+3) Eastern.

PROJECTION

IMPORTANT If projection is illuminated, do not look directly into the projector or on the reflection from the mirror.

To enable continuous projection:

Slide PROJECTION ON/OFF slide switch to ON and open the top cover.

To focus image: Turn FOCUS wheel.

To disable projection:

Slide PROJECTION ON/OFF slide switch to OFF. But, if the top cover is opened, pressing SNOOZE can turn on the projection for 5 seconds.

ALARM

To set alarm:

1.Slide ALARM ON/OFF slide switch to ON.

2.Press and hold ALARM.

3.Press UP/TUNE + or DOWN/TUNE - to set values for hour and minute.

4.The settings order is: hour, minute, Melody alarm or Radio alarm.

If Melody alarm is selected, press UP/TUNE + or DOWN/ TUNE - to select Melody 1 / Melody 2 / Melody 3 / buzzer.

If Radio alarm is selected, press UP/TUNE + or DOWN/ TUNE - to select radio station and press ALARM to confirm, then press UP/TUNE + or DOWN/TUNE - to adjust the volume.

5.Press ALARM to confirm. indicates alarm is on.

To activate / deactivate alarm:

Press ALARM.

To display alarm time:

Press ALARM. After 10 seconds, the display will resume to clock or radio.

To silence alarm:

Press SNOOZE to silence it for 8 minutes.

OR

Press any other button to turn the alarm off and activate it again after 24 hours.

FM RADIO

To play the radio:

1. Press and hold RADIO ON/VOL

.

2.Press UP/TUNE + / DOWN/TUNE - to select radio frequency (press and hold to enable auto-search for an available frequency); or press 1, 2, 3 or 4 if radio stations are saved.

To save a radio station:

Press and hold 1, 2, 3 or 4 while on a frequency. A total of 4 stations can be stored.

To adjust radio volume:

 

Press repeatedly

RADIO ON/VOL

to increase or

RADIO OFF/VOL

to decrease volume.

To turn off radio:

 

 

Press and hold RADIO OFF/VOL

RADIO SLEEP TIMER

The radio is equipped with a countdown sleep timer that can be set to switch the radio off after up to 120 minutes.

1.Press SLEEP to activate sleep timer. The radio turns on with the previous setting (radio frequency, volume and timer).

2.To change the sleep timer setting (120, 90, 60, 45, 30, 15, 0), press SLEEP. The sleep timer setting will be automatically activated.

NOTE If no button is pressed after 10 seconds, the unit will resume clock display.

RESET

Press RESET to return to the default settings.

PRECAUTIONS

Do not subject the unit to excessive force, shock, dust, temperature or humidity.

Do not cover the ventilation holes with any items such as newspapers, curtains etc.

Do not immerse the unit in water. If you spill liquid over it, dry it immediately with a soft, lint-free cloth.

Do not clean the unit with abrasive or corrosive materials.

Do not tamper with the unit’s internal components. This invalidates the warranty.

Only use fresh batteries. Do not mix new and old batteries.

When disposing of this product, ensure it is collected separately for special treatment.

Placement of this product on certain types of wood may result in damage to its finish for which Oregon Scientific will not be responsible. Consult the furniture manufacturer's care instructions for information.

Do not dispose old batteries as unsorted municipal waste. Collection of such waste separately for special treatment is necessary.

Please note that some units are equipped with a battery safety strip. Remove the strip from the battery compartment before first use.
