Display Formats Overview

The HD-STB Tuner offers various display formats and multiple video outputs. When the HD-STB Tuner is connected to A/V systems, the HD-STB Tuner can provide video signal formats 1080i, 720p, 576p, or 576i. 1080i, 720p and 576p modes are available for component video (YPbPr) and monitor outputs.

576i mode is available for VIDEO and S-VIDEO outputs.

The HD-STB Tuner has two digital audio outputs; Dolby Digital 5.1 and PCM. The HD-STB Tuner sends out digital audio signal to OPTICAL and COAXIAL audio outputs when a digital broadcast is being received by the HD-STB Tuner.

Connect video (or S-video) cable from the OUTPUT 1 video (or S-video) jack on the STB to the video (or S-video) input jack on the TV. S-video is recommended to be used because S-video will provide better picture quality.

These connections are only available when SD (576i display format) is selected by toggling the Display Format Selection Switch.

Important

After you toggle the Display Format Selection Switch, you must turn off the STB and then turn on again, then the toggling can effect.
