Quick Start

About 1 second after turning on the unit, you can start recording to DVD-RAM.

Power consumption in standby mode increases when Quick Start is set to “On”. The unit performs self maintenance for a few minutes every morning starting at 4:00 am. The unit’s buttons, including [POWER Í/I], do not work during this self maintenance. (Self maintenance does not start if the unit is on, or a scheduled recording is taking place, at this time.)

If a language which is not recorded is selected, or if languages are already fixed on the disc, the language set as the default on the disc will be played instead.

This is the language code setting.

Input a code number with the numbered buttons. (l 43, “Language code list”)

Automatic

If the language selected for “Audio Language” is not available, subtitles of that language will automatically appear if available on the disc.
