Changing to a New Network

Whennot in your home Country / Region, the user may use a network that

isnot directly subscribed to, this is called ROAMING. National Law may not

permitroaming in your home region.

TheNew Network function is used to manually select a network that is

availablein your current location.

1 FromIdle ZQ

,select Phone Menu >Network >New

NetworkZQ

2 Useeto select one from the list of available networks ZQ

AnXwill be displayed in the information area if you cannot register with

theselected network.

Whenthe Search Mode is set to Automatic the phone will automatically

reselecta new network in order to maintain optimum network availability.

Withthe Search Mode set to Manual the phone will only use a selected

network.If coverage is lost another network should be selected.

TheNetwork List is used when the Search Mode has been set to

Automatic.The location numbers in the Preferred Network List show the

searchpriority.

SelectingInsert stores a new network in the currently displayed location

andthen moves other networks down, Edit overwrites the old network

witha new one, and Add stores a new network at the end of the list.
