Switching to the USB HOST mode

1 Hold down [POWER] for at least 2 seconds to turn the power on.

The thumbnail screen now appears.

2 Press [MODE] to display the thumbnail display off screen.

4 Using [STOP], [PLAY] and [STILL], select “OTHER FUNCTIONS” – “PC MODE”, and press [STILL].

5 Using [STOP] and [PLAY], select “USBHOST”, and press [STILL].

6 Press [MENU] twice to display the thumbnail display off screen.

7 Press [MODE] to display the thumbnail display screen.

8 Hold down [MODE] for at least 2 seconds. The USB HOST mode is now established, and “USBHOST” appears at the bottom of the thumbnail screen.

To exit the HOST mode

1 Hold down [POWER] for at least 2 seconds to turn off the unit’s power.

The PC mode cannot be released simply by holding down [MODE].

While files are being transferred, the power will not be turned off even when [POWER] is pressed.

Any hard drive which can be connected using USB 2.0

USB bus power (5 V, 0.5 A) is also supported, but some hard drives cannot be started up using it. If this is the case, supply power from a separate source to the hard drive.

Hard drives with a memory size of 2 TB or more are not supported.
