Copying data from P2 cards to the hard drive

Use a hard drive with enough memory to accommodate the data to be copied.

Proceed with copying after checking that the unit has a sufficient remaining battery charge.

1 After inserting the copy source P2 card into the unit’s P2 card slot, press [MENU], select “COPY TO HDD” using [STOP] and [PLAY], and press [STILL].

Then select “YES” using [STOP], and press [STILL].

Copying now begins.

The data of up to 15 cards can be stored on the hard drive.

To verify (inspect the two sets of data) after copying data onto a hard drive

Switch to the 1394 HOST mode, and select “SETUP” – “VERIFY” – “YES” using [STOP], [PLAY] and [STILL], and press [STILL].

The copying of the P2 card data will also be terminated if the process is aborted during verification of the two sets of data.

2 Press [MENU] to complete the process.

You cannot copy data from a hard drive onto a P2 card.

Supply power from a source other than the 1394 bus. (Power is not supplied from the unit itself.)

No guarantees for operation are given if the 1394 HOST mode is established first without connecting the hard drive (which supports 1394. a SBP2) and then the hard drive is connected. In a case like this, turn off the power, turn it back on, and release the 1394 HOST mode.

In the 1394 host mode, the clips in the partition will not be displayed as thumbnails.
