3Time display

Depending on what has been set, the time code at the clip recording start point or the user’s bit at the clip recording start point, shooting time, shooting date, shooting date/time or USER CLIP NAME is displayed.

4Recording mode

The recording mode of the clip where the pointer is positioned is displayed.

5System format

The recording format of the clip where the pointer is positioned is displayed.

6Duration

The duration of the clip where the pointer is positioned is displayed.

7USB HOST mode indicator

This appears when the USB HOST mode has been selected.

8Clip number

These are the numbers which have been set by the unit for all the correctly recognized clips on a P2 card. The numbers are allocated in sequence starting from the earliest shooting date/time. Clips which cannot be played back because, for instance, they have wrong recording formats are displayed in red.

9X Defective clip indicator

?Defective clip indicator

This indicates clips whose recording contains problems for reasons such as the power being cut off while they were being recorded. It may be possible to repair clips which are indicated by the yellow defective clip indicator. For further details, refer to “Repairing clips” (→ page

36). It is not possible to repair clips which are indicated by the red defective clip indicator so delete them. If these clips cannot be deleted, format the P2 card. In the case of clips with the wrong formats, ? is displayed instead of X .

10 ! Incomplete clip indicator

This appears when a single clip has been recorded onto a multiple number of P2 cards and one of the P2 cards concerned has not been inserted into the P2 card slot.

11M Shot mark indicator

This indicates clips where a shot mark has been added to their thumbnails.

12P Clip-with-proxy indicator

This indicates clips for which a proxy has been additionally recorded.

13 T Text memo indicator

This indicates clips with text memo data.

14 E Edit-copy clip indicator

This indicates clips which have been edit- copied by the AJ-SPD850 or other model which supports the edit-copy function. For details on the edit-copy function, refer to the operating instructions of the model which supports the function.

15w Wide indicator

This indicates clips which have been recorded using the 16:9 aspect ratio. It does not indicate clips which were formatted by a hard drive.

16 Remaining battery charge display As the remaining charge drops, the display

changes in the following sequence: , ,

When the charge is depleted, () blinks.
