Troubleshooting
If you still have difficulties after following the instructions in this section, disconnect the AC
adaptor and turn off the handset, then reconnect the AC adaptor and turn on the handset.
Problem Cause & solution
w is flashing. LThe handset is too far from the base unit. Move closer.
LThe AC adaptor is not connected. Check the
connections.
LYou are using the handset or base unit in an area with
high electrical interference. Place the handset and
base unit away from interference sources, such as
antennas and mobile phones.
LThe handset registration is cancelled. Register the
handset to the base unit using the following method.

5Press and hold {x} on the base unit for about 5
seconds.
LIf all registered handsets start ringing, press {x}
to stop, then start again from step 1.
LThe rest of the procedure must be completed
within 1 minute.
6Press {e} or {v} to select a base unit number.

7Wait until “BS PIN” is displayed. i Enter base
unit PIN (default: “0000”). i {>}
LIf you forget your PIN, consult your nearest
Panasonic service centre.
LA confirmation tone will sound, and w will stop
flashing.
LIf w is still flashing, start again from step 1.
The unit does not ring. LThe ringer volume is turned off. Adjust the ringer
volume (page 11).
The handset display is blank. LThe handset is not turned on. Turn the power on (page
6).
The handset will not turn on. LMake sure that the batteries are installed correctly
(page 6).
LFully charge the batteries (page 6).
