CHANNEL SET

The unit tunes automatically after you plug it in and turn it on for the first time (l 11, Plug-in Auto Tuning), but you can start the process again if necessary.

≥Make sure you have tuned to a television channel. This does not work if you have selected “AV” channel.

1 While VHS MENU is displayed (l 36)

Press [3 4] to select “CHANNEL SET” and press [ENTER].

2 Press [3 4] to select “ANTENNA SYSTEM” and press [ENTER].

3 Press [3 4] to select “TV” or “CATV” to suit the type of antenna you are using.

Channels are set corresponding to the antenna system you select. This is set automatically when you do Plug-in Auto Tuning.

To exit the settings screen

Press [MENU] until the screen disappears.

AUTO

Auto tuning searches for TV stations and memorizes every tuned program position. Other program positions are skipped. (Channel range l right)

2 Press [3 4] to select “AUTO” and press [ENTER].

Auto tuning starts. It takes three or more minutes to complete.

MANUAL

You can manually preset channels that are skipped when using the auto channel setting, and manually skip channels that are preset.

2 Press [3 4] to select “MANUAL” and press [ENTER].3 Press [3 4] to select “CH” and [2 1] to select the channel.4 Press [3 4] to select “BLANK” and [2 1] to select “ON” or “OFF”.
