If auto focusing is difficult due to the conditions, then use Manual focus.
¬Change the mode to .
≥Press the iA/MANUAL button to switch to Manual Focus Mode (l58)

2Use the joystick to select [MF]
3Bring the subject into focus
with the joystick.
The area in focus will be displayed in blue.
Display will return to normal approximately
2 seconds after the completion of the focus
adjustment operation.
≥When [MF ASSIST] is set to [OFF], the
blue area is not displayed.
≥To return to Auto focus, either switch to
[AF] as in step 2, or repress the iA/
MANUAL button.
≥The blue display does not appear in the
motion picture that is actually recorded.
