1 Double click the icon in task tray

displayed on the PC.

≥Depending on your PC’s settings, this

icon may not be displayed.

2 Select [USB Mass Storage Device]

and click [Stop].

3Verify [MATSHITA SDR-S50/SD USB

Device] is selected and click [OK].

Charging the battery using USB bus power

When using the battery, if you turn off th e uni t and connec t it t o a PC, Pan asonic Blu -ray disc

recorder or Panasonic DVD recorder, the battery will charge.

≥Insert the USB cable securely all the way. It will not operate properly if it is not inserted all

the way.

≥Do not use any other USB cables except the supplied one. (Operation is not guaranteed

with any other USB cables.)

≥Be sure to connect the unit directly to the PC, Blu-ray disc recorder or DVD recorder.

≥During charging, the status indicator flashes. When charging is finished, the status

indicator turns off.

≥Charging cannot be carried out if the status indicator flashes quickl y for abou t 1 minute an d

then goes out, or if it does not illuminate at all. Use the AC adaptor to charge. (l20)

≥Charging will take 2-3 times longer than charging with th e AC adaptor.

≥Use the AC adaptor when charging the high capacity battery (VW-VBK360; optional).

≥If the status indicator flashes at a particularly fast or slow r ate, refer to page 113.
