[Off (⋅1)] is the typical movie setting (15 frames/second). As you select [⋅2], [⋅5]..., the number of pictures taken for a second decreases from 1/2, 1/5...
The images of movie pictures are always played back at the rate of 15 frames per second. This means those taken at ⋅2 appear to
be played back twice faster and those at ⋅5 five times faster than ⋅1.
