Turning the Camera On and Off

z Power switch

zPress the power switch.

The camera will turn on.

When the camera is turned on the lens cover opens and the lens extends.

Press the power switch again to turn the camera off.

Card Check

When the camera is turned on, it automatically performs a card check. If no SD Memory Card/MultiMediaCard has been inserted, appears on the LCD monitor.

And if the write-protect switch is set to LOCK,

will be displayed instead of , and the images or sound cannot be recorded.
