9 Press STANDBY-ON to turn off the TV/VCR/DVD and set the timer recording.

The red REC/OTR light will appear on the front of the TV/VCR/DVD.

You must turn off the TV/VCR/DVD to activate a timer recording. If the power is not off and you continue watching TV,TIMER REC STANDBY starts flashing on the screen 2 minutes before the programmed start time.Turn off the unit to do the recording.

Helpful Hints

•To correct information while setting the Timer Recording, press s to go back one step

and select the incorrect information. Press ▲ or ▼ to enter the correct information.

•While a timer recording is in progress, the red REC/OTR light will flash.

•If a timer recording is set for hours or days later, you can use the TV/VCR/DVD until then. Just be sure to turn off the TV/VCR/DVD about 5 minutes before the recording. Set the Cable Box/Satellite Receiver if appropriate.

•If the record tab is missing, the videotape will eject when you press STANDBY-ON to turn off the TV/VCR/DVD. Insert a recordable tape for the timer recording.

•If the tape ends before the recording is complete, the TV/VCR/DVD will stop recording immediately and eject the tape.
