8 Press SETUP to remove the menus.

9 Press STANDBY-ON to turn off the TV/VCR/DVD and set the timer recording. The red REC/OTR light will appear on the front of the TV/VCR/DVD.

You must turn off the TV/VCR/DVD to activate a timer recording. If the power is not off and you con- tinue watching TV, TIMER REC STANDBY starts flashing on the screen two minutes before the pro- grammed start time. Turn off the unit to do the recording.

Helpful Hints

To correct information while set- ting the Timer Recording, press s to go back one step and select the incorrect information. Press or to enter the cor- rect information.

While a timer recording is in progress, the red REC/OTR light will flash.

If a timer recording is set for hours or days later, you can use the TV/VCR/DVD until then. Just be sure to turn off the TV/VCR/DVD about five minutes before the recording. Set the Cable Box/Satellite Receiver if appropriate.

If the record tab is missing, the videotape will eject when you press STANDBY-ON to turn off the TV/VCR/DVD. Insert a recordable tape for the timer recording.
