Format Options for models: 30PW8420
Many times while watching movies from a
DVD player the image is shown in “letter
box” format. This is the format that is shown in
movie theaters. when shown on a TV screen, the
image will have areas of black on top and bottom
of the screen. After the desired format has been
selected you can shift or “nudge” the picture by
pressing the cursor to move the picture up or
down.
1Press the CURSOR RIGHT rror LEFT ss
buttons to select one of the toggle the screen
format options.
2While in the format options, you can press the
CURSOR UP qqor DOWN uubuttons to
“nudge” the picture up or down.
NOTE: “Nudge” works when appear on the TV
screen.

aters. when shown on a TV screen, the image will
have areas of black on top and bottom of the screen.
1Press the CURSOR UP qqor DOWN uubuttons
to select one of the two options 4:3 or Expand 4:3.
4:3 - Standard format for the TV.
Expand 4:3 - Enlarges the picture to fill out the
entire screen area, eliminating the “letter box”
effect.
Compress 16:9 - Allows movies to be viewed in
their full width (known as letter-box style).
NOTE: “Nudge” is not functional in models
27PT8420.
