POWER ON/OFF

Press to turn the Player on or off.

The button is depressed when the Player is On (also known as Standby or low- power mode); the : will appear on the display panel. The button is released when the power is completely off (the display panel will be dark or empty, with no :). To use the POWER y but- ton on the remote control to turn the Player on, the POWER ON/OFF button on the front of the Player must be depressed (the : will show on the display panel).

Remote Sensor

Point the Player’s remote con- trol here when using the remote to operate the Player.

Disc Tray

Insert a Disc here. Load the

Disc with the label facing up.

Display

Current Disc information appears here, includ- ing elapsed playing time, current Track number, or active feature (LOAD while the Player is reading a Disc, NEXT when you move to the next Chapter, RPT ALL when playing a Disc repeatedly, LOCKED if Parental Controls is active, etc.).

The display will be dark and empty if VFD DIM is OFF. Details are on page 40.

OPEN/CLOSE A button

Press to open or close the Disc tray. You also can open or close the disc tray by pressing and holding the Number 1 button on the remote control for three seconds.

STOP 7 button

To use the Resume feature, press STOP 7 once to stop Disc playback. Play will resume from the same point the next time you start playback (if you do not turn off the Player or open the disc tray).

Or, press STOP 7 twice to stop Disc playback. Play will resume from the beginning of the Disc the next time you start playback.

You must stop playback by pressing STOP 7 twice in order to access PREFERENCES in the Player’s Setup menu.

PLAY/PAUSE 38 button

Press to start playing a Disc. Press once during play- back to pause play; press again to resume play from the same point.
