For some DVDs, the s ubtitle or audio la nguage can only be cha nged from the disc men u. •
For a language that is not listed, select • [Others]. Che ck the list of language co des (see “Language Code”),
and then enter t he respective la nguage code. (Refer to “ Setup” > “General setup” > “Play a locked disc”
for how to enter the 4 -digit code)
[Parental Control] - Select a rati ng level to restrict t he play of discs to children. T hese discs must be
recorded with r ating levels.

To play a DVD disc that has a rat ing level higher tha n your setting, ent er the password fir st. (Refer to •

The rating leve ls are country- dependent. To allow all d iscs to be played, selec t
• [8 Adult].
Some discs have ra tings printed on bu t are not recorded w ith ratings. Th is function has no ef fect on such

discs.
[PBC] - Enable or disable t he PBC (playback control ) feature.
[Password] - Change the password for p laying discs that are locked o r restricted wi th rating levels.
