Glossary of Terms

APN	Access Point Name. Directs the user to the gateway or the required service.
Cut	Permanently removes selected text from short text message
Copy	Copies selected text from short text message without removing it from the original message
CHAP	Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol. A security feature for the GPRS network.
DTMF Tones	Dual Tone Multi-Frequency tones allow you to communicate with computerised phone systems, voice
	mailboxes etc.
GPRS	General Packet Radio Service. The Technology the phone uses.
GSM	Global System for Mobile Communications. The name given to the advanced digital technology that your phone
	uses.
Network	The organization responsible for operating a GSM network.
Operator
PAP	Password Authentication Protocol. A security feature for the GPRS network.
Password	Used for the control of the Call Bar. Supplied by your service provider.
