Infrared

Byusing infrared connection with another GD87 or with other devices with an infrared port, you can transfer data between the

devices.Also it enables you to use GSM fax and data services, and it provides access to Internet and e-mail, through existing

applications.

Preparing for Infrared Connection

ØPlaceGD87 and another device with an infrared port within

theeffective range of infrared connection with each other.

ØTheremust be no obstruction between the two

communicatingdevices.

ØTheinfrared ports of both devices must point at each other.

ØIfyou use a PC, you need to set up infrared connection on

thePC.

(Example:Start > Settings > Control Panel > Infrared >

Optionstab > Enable Infrared Communication)

Sending Data

Thetypes of data you can send are: Phone Book, My Profile,

Scheduler,Camera, Sound, File and Data Folder.

Ensurethat the infrared ports of your GD87 and the second

phoneor device are pointing at each other with no obstructions

inbetween.

SendingImages and Music Data

Imagesand Music data can be transferred among GD87s.
