Cisco MGM Server Error Messages
Error Message EID-5031: Exception: string occurred while launching service process.
Recommended Action Verify that the server has adequate RAM and swap space as listed in the
Cisco Media Gateway Manager 5.0 Installation Guide. Do not run other unapproved software on
the server.
Error Message EID-5041: Exception: string occurred while trying to connect to Service
Manager.
Recommended Action Run the showmgm command to see what Cisco MGM server processes are
running. Restart the Cisco MGM server using the mgms-start command.
Error Message EID-5042: Exception: string occurred while trying to disconnect from
Service Manager.
Recommended Action Run the showmgm command to see what Cisco MGM server processes are
running. Restart the Cisco MGM server using the mgms-start command.
Error Message EID-6055: ML series card provisioning operation failed for NE: string
- slot: NE_ID Reason: string.
Recommended Action Check the ML card setting (telnet information) and if problem persists, contact
Cisco technical support.
Error Message EID-7002: Cannot retrieve wavelength values.
Recommended Action Force a “Refresh from NE” operation on both ends of the link.
B.2.3 Minor Server Error Messages
Error Message EID-408: Poller low on worker threads or poll frequency too fast.
Recommended Action The application cannot communicate with all configured NEs during the
allotted poll-frequency time. Use the following procedure to correct the error:
Step 1 Log into the Cisco MGM client with the appropriate user profile.
Step 2 Choose Administration > Control Panel.
Step 3 Click NE Service. In the NE Poller tab, decrease the poll frequency in the NE Health Poll Frequency
field in 30-second increments.
Step 4 Click Save.
Error Message EID-411: Invalid return of UDP sockets.
Recommended Action This is an internal error; no action is required.
