Cisco MGM Server Error Messages

Error Message EID-603: Incorrect trap recvfrom with errno = value.

Recommended Action This is an internal processing error. If the problem persists, contact Cisco technical support with this error message.

Error Message EID-604: Failed to parse SNMP trap definition file filename.

Recommended Action The traps.lst file in the bin directory where the Cisco MGM server was installed is corrupted. Delete the traps.lst file and restart the application.

Error Message EID-605: Failed to recover alarm sequence #number to #number for NE ID.

Recommended Action Cisco MGM could not recover all alarms from the NE. There might be events missing in the Alarm Log due to connectivity problems or mangled packets. However, the Alarm Browser will reflect the correct alarm information. In the Domain Explorer window, choose Fault > Alarm Browser to view the current alarms.

Error Message EID-704: Invalid SNMP recvfrom with errno = value.

Recommended Action SNMP traps are being received from an NE that is not configured on the Cisco MGM server. Check the configured IP addresses for all NEs by viewing the configuration files (startup-config). The IP addresses should match the IP address of the interface used in the “snmp-server trap-source IF” CLI in the NE configuration.

Error Message EID-1402: The OSI daemon lockfile value is missing.

Recommended Action This is an internal processing error. If the problem persists, contact Cisco technical support with this error message.

Error Message EID-1403: The OSI daemon lockfile does not contain the PID.
